MJC games were invented by British Merchant Navy prisoners in a German POW camp during the Second World War to boost morale. The Marine Jockey Commission later turned their creations into popular commercial board games published by Pepys, including Horse Racing To-night, Horsie Horsie, Five-A-Side and Home Cricket.
