A Camouflaged Elephant

As regular readers will know, each Friday I publish a mystery picture of one of London’s enormous herd of elephants.  This week’s Weekend Elephant, the twenty second in the series, has been kindly nominated by Flor of Thornton Heath. Many thanks Flor!

You have the whole weekend to email the answer to elephants@peterberthoud.co.uk . The first person to identify it will be rewarded with a glorious mention sometime on Monday when their location will be officially revealed

If you would like to nominate an elephant for future inclusion please drop me a line; all publicly visible, permanent or semi-permanent, London-based elephants, regardless of size, medium or location will be considered!

Happy hunting!

Easterly Elephants

Last week’s Weekend Elephant was to be found in the window display of East, the women’s clothing retailer in Covent Garden.

Here are three more elephants from the same display.

Thanks again to Vania Gay, fellow City of Westminster Guide, for nominating them.

And the winner is … The first person to correctly locate these elephants was Harold of Mile End. Congratulations Harold! Harold said “I seemed to spend half-a lifetime outside this shop whilst my wife and daughters were trying on clothes during a recent shopping trip. These elephants burned themselves into my memory that day. I am glad to have found some use for this “useless” knowledge.”.  Hmm, well I will chalk that one up as a compliment, thanks and thanks again for your winning entry!

The next Weekend Elephant, the twenty-first, will be published this Friday.

A Colourful Weekend Elephant

As regular readers will know, each Friday I publish a mystery picture of one of London’s enormous herd of elephants, this week’s Weekend Elephant is the twentieth in the series.

This colourful fellow, one of many at the site, has been nominated by fellow City of Westminster Guide and all-round good egg Vania Gay. Thank you very much Vania!
