About/Contact

My name is Pete Berthoud and I am a London obsessive. I spend virtually all my time walking in, writing about or reading about London. My background is in education and youth work management. My interests range from art to pubs, history, maps, photography & architecture.

My blog:

Is about the some of the things I discover as I travel around London, its  subjects range from historical curiosities, architecture, vintage photos and new exhibitions to street art. I try to keep the content unique and aim only to publish stories and images you are unlikely to find elsewhere.

My Facebook Page:

Contains hundreds of vintage images of London, often unavailable elsewhere on the net along with more recent images that I have taken myself. I add to these albums several times a week. I also throw in the odd London related song or film clip and links to stories I have enjoyed that you may have missed. You don’t need to be a member of Facebook to access my albums of London images.

My Guiding:

I am also an award winning,  fully qualified and fully insured City of Westminster Guide and a member of the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association.

My walking tours in London are informative, fun, flexible and inclusive. I do offer some public walks but the majority of my time is spent writing and delivering private tours and private events, for families, companies and educational organisations. I also offer consultancy services for media and education professionals in London.

You can read recent reviews of my walks and access links to various projects I have been involved in via the the Recent Reviews and Media tab.
